General Contest Rules for Participation

By participating in any WAKY contests, the participant acknowledges having read,

fully understanding and accepting all contest rules.

To qualify for any WAKY contest you must be at least 18 years old, unless specifically

mentioned in the description of the contest.

No contestant may qualify more than once for the same contest. By doing so, the contestant will

lose any and all registrations, and be excluded from the contest.

Only one entry per household per contest/promotion.

 
Any contests that consist of a random drawing and/or any method of giveaway is subject to change

without notice. However, change will be stated on air or website as soon as possible.

No purchase necessary to qualify for any contests played on WAKY.

Entry constitutes permission for WAKY to make reasonable use of winner’s name,

voice, and/or photo for publicity purposes.

Employees and immediate family members (of employees) of WAKY,

contest/promotion sponsor(s) and/or partner(s) are ineligible to play. Immediate family

is defined as spouse, children, parent, grandparent or sibling.

Listeners who win a prize on WAKY are not eligible to win for 30 days after their

contest win. Winner is solely responsible for all taxes.

No cash will be paid out as part of a prize unless specifically mentioned in the description

of the prize.

All contestants have 30 days to claim their prize at the WAKY studios located at

2608 Ring Road in Elizabethtown. If the prize is not claimed within 30 days after winning the

prize will be forfeited. Winners must present driver’s license, or government issued photo ID,

as identification when picking up prizes.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash.

Prizes won on WAKY are not to be resold. If prizes are found to be resold,

listener may be ruled not eligible to win future prizes.

Any winner of $600 or more will need to complete a W9 form before the prize will be released.

Any winner on WAKY of $599 or less may participate in any Grand Prize contests

of $600 or more and/or $599 or less after 30 days of winning.

WAKY reserves the right to randomly select another winner if contact cannot be

made with a winner of a given contest.

If WAKY agrees to mail your prize, when other reasonable accommodations

may not be made, it will be noted the day they are mailed in our winners log. If prize is damaged

or not received by winner, there are no consolation, monetary or replacement substitutes of any

kind offered or given.

If a qualifier cannot attend a contest finale and wants to send a proxy to fill in for their place

the qualifier must call WAKY offices by 5pm the day before the event with complete

proxy information.

WAKY and any/all participating sponsors are not responsible for any cancellation,

injury, accident, loss or misfortunes related to aspects of any contest.
