Hardin County Farmers Market Winter Market Series

From 6:00AM to 5:00PM

This Saturday, February 4th, marks the second of three monthly events in our Hardin County Farmers Market Winter Market Series. Our March monthly Winter Market event will take place on Saturday, March 4th. Both events take place at the Hardin County Cooperative Extension Office located at 111 Opportunity Way in E'town from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At February's event, are you looking for the perfect ingredients for a special Valentine’s Day meal or maybe you’re simply wanting something to pamper yourself or that special someone? We’re here to help!Your choices include fresh, locally grown produce, locally-raised beef resulting in juicy steaks, tender pork chops or plump roast. Or what about a bottle of wine to complement your tasty morsels or a live plant to brighten your day? Can we tempt you with a mouth-watering selection of jams, jellies, baked goods and other sweets? And lots of other nuggets to choose from too, including locally-crafted pieces of jewelry and pottery. Also, at February's Market event, you will have a chance to meet this year’s Miss Kentucky, Hannah Edelen. As the current title holder, she serves as a spokesperson for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Her other focus is “Read Ready Kentucky.” She has written a children’s book that she will read during a story-time at the Market. And she will also have a Question- and- Answer session. We request that children ages 18 - and -under are accompanied by an adult.Since 1977, the Hardin County Farmers' Market has attracted thousands of people who enjoy our local products. Consistently ranked as one of the top farmers' markets in the state, come see why so many prefer our central Kentucky gem.
